Established the inaugural Westconnex Community Reference Group (CRG) to manage public outrage and involve the community across four concurrent road infrastructure projects – M4 Widening, M4 East, the New M5 and King Georges Road Interchange Upgrade, and the M4-M5 Link – for the Sydney Motorway Corporation. There was high public outrage, and facilitation of the CRG involved overseeing representative selection, establishing the Terms of Reference and facilitation of monthly meetings. Activities improved community engagement and communication channels across the projects and ensured more timely information relevant to the community members which de-escalated community outrage and enhanced participation.
