Delivered government relations, stakeholder engagement, issues management services across joint venture operations for the $160+ million Return and Earn container deposit scheme. Collaborated with the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the NSW Environment Protection Authority, Exchange for Change, community members and local businesses to design and implement an integrated program of education initiatives that increased recycling rates with business suppliers, schools and community partners. Delivery included community engagement programs such as face-to-face sessions, briefings, walking tours, analysis and reporting, and an improved customer experience. This multi-partnership initiative achieved more than 200 million containers recycled within the first four months of operation and transformed the state’s circular economy by improving recycling rates of containers and decreased recyclable waste across the state.
